Fantasy Update: Post Trade Deadline

A few games have past since the trade deadline giving players both new and old to their respective teams a chance to settle in.  Today I am going to highlight three players who will excel the rest of the way for your fantasy team.
1.  Tracy McGrady – If T-Mac can stay healthy for the remainder of the season, he has a chance to perform extremely well in Coach Mike D’Antoni’s system.  In his first game at the Garden against the Oklahoma City Thunder, McGrady put up 26 points and 5 …

Fantasy Update: Forwards

If I made a list of the best forwards in the league, names like LeBron James, Carmelo Anthony, Dirk Nowitzki, and Kevin Garnett would top the charts.  Today I am going to mention three players listed at “Small Forward” and/or “Power Forward” only according to Yahoo! who have had surprisingly well year up to this point.
1.  Kevin Durant – Now I know a lot of people can easily argue that he is one of the top small forwards and I agree 100%.  I am mentioning him because for as good …

Fantasy Update: Guards

With almost 40 games in the books and the halfway point in the season nearing, it is time to look at some of the most surprising players at each position.  This week I will be discussing three players who are strictly listed as guards (PG and/or SG) according to Yahoo! Fantasy Basketball.  These three may may not be the best in their position but they have played well during the first half of the season.
1. Aaron Brooks – Coming fresh off his 43 points in 59 minutes in a three …

Fantasy Update: Wizards Edition

We all know by now that Gilbert Arenas is suspended indefinitely from the NBA, and if he was on your fantasy season you might be in trouble.  Today I am going to look at three Washington Wizards guards who will need to step their game in Agent 0′s absence.  I am going to predict their numbers from here on out and let you know if they are worth picking up.
1. Earl Boykins – In the Wizards first game in their post Arenas era, Earl Boykins got the starting nod.  In …

Fantasy Update: 12/30

Normally in my Fantasy Update posts I have tried to give you, the reader, players who you can pick up before they start to break out.  Some have worked out (Brendan Haywood and Brandon Jennings) and some have not (cue up Steve Blake).  Last night was probably the greatest fantasy night I have seen all year.  I’m going to highlight last night’s five best performers in the fantasy world.  The amazing thing is this list does not even include LeBron James’ and Russell Westbrook’s near triple-doubles.
Chris Paul – Paul and …

Christmas Fantasy Update

Tomorrow is Christmas and people are waking up early to see what Santa brought them.  Here at NBAtoday, these are a few players we’d love to see Santa give us to be on our Fantasy team:

1. LeBron James – If LeBron James fell to my team especially in a keep league, I would be happy for years to come.  Wherever LeBron James ends up next year, he will continue to put up numbers like he is doing this year: 28 ppg, 8 rpg, and 7 apg.
2.  Carmelo Anthony – Here …

Fantasy Update: 12/17

If you’re team is ravished by injuries like mine (I miss you Kevin Martin and Lou “I’m Ill” Williams!), this addition of Fantasy Update is for you!  I will spotlight one guard, forward, and center you should think about picking up or trading for.
C.J Watson – Since November 30th, Watson has played more than 30 minutes a game for the Golden State Warriors.  During that time he has scored double figures in nine out of those ten games.  If you need a guard to help you out in several categories …
