My journey to being a NBA fan was been a long one. I remember playing NBA Jam on my Sega Genesis in 1994 as Patrick (Ch)Ewing and the Knicks. I’ll be the first to admit I am a player follower more than a diehard fan of any team. Along with that, instead of following superstars (cue Kobe, and LeBron James) I like rooting players like Renaldo Balkman (former Gamecock and NIT MVP). Besides following basketball, I also played ball in college and was on a high school team that went 27-1 in 2004. Two of my HS teammates currently play in college now with one being at UPenn and the other at the University of Rhode Island. I walked on the TCNJ (Div III) basketball team where I played for two years. I am currently a teacher and a middle school basketball coach.
