HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Celtics 97, Cavaliers 87 (Series tied 2-2)
Let’s start with some simple facts about this game.
- Rajon Rondo had 29 points, 18 rebounds, and 13 assists in this game. This has to vault him into talks of being one of the better point guards in the league. Looking at his stats you can tell he had a big game, but watching the
beginning of the fourth quarter, my Dad told me it looked like he was Usain Bolt, and the rest of the players were handicapped. The Celtics were leading 2 entering the fourth quarter, and turned that into a 12 point lead with 10 straight points to start the period. - LeBron was held to 22 points. He had 9 rebounds and 8 assists, but typically when LeBron doesn’t score a lot, he had 22 assists and the shooters were hot. This wasn’t the case today. I felt like the Cavs came out a little lazy knowing that they had just blown the Celtics out in Boston.
- Boston had 23 fastbreak points to Clevelands’ 7. I’ve seen games were LeBron has 7 fast break points by himself, so this seemed odd.
The questions from all of this, are that did the Cavs just not show up? Or did Boston figure out a secret to success? Boston has to be feeling good, as everyone except for Rondo was in foul trouble at some point in this game, and they still came out on top. This series just got real!
