News and Rumors: Bosh’s Hit List, Wall-to-Wall Action, and Much More Rumorish News!

This edition of News and Rumors has some pre-summer rumors, along with some organizational news.

Chris Bosh’s Hit List

Free agent to be Chris Bosh really just can’t keep his mouth shut about his impending free agency.

Bosh continues to talk about becoming a free agent, from asking his twitter friends what he should do to now listing a group of teams that he is willing to play for. It is reported Bosh’s agent gave the Raptors a list of potential teams he would play for next season, in case they wanted to explore a sign-and-trade (aw, how nice of him). Here are the teams he has narrowed it down to:

  • Chicago Bulls
  • Miami Heat
  • Los Angeles Lakers
  • New York Knicks
  • Toronto Raptors (if he stays of course, which means no sign and trade)

I didn’t realize how quickly someone could come to a decision of where he is willing to go (where are the Nets?! haha). One of those teams isn’t even out of the playoffs yet (LA)! Also, I’d say he put the Raptors there just to be nice, because there is 0% chance that he stays in Toronto.

Another source said that his choice could weigh on LeBron’s location (ya think?). If it’s NY or Chi-Town, he’ll likely go there. If LeBron stays in Cleveland, then who knows. DUH! I could have told you that…

Seriously though Chris, where are the Nets??

Wall-to-Wall Action

John Wall is going to be the number one pick. It’s official, because Myron Goodman said so.

Oh wait, he doesn’t work for the Wizards front office, he’s just a ticket rep for Washington. On Friday, this guy proclaimed on his Facebook that Wall would be picked number one by the Wiz, and to contact him for tickets. That was stupid. I take it he’s not the most creative advertising guy in the organization.

Here’s breaking news though – John Wall is going to be the number one pick. It’s official because Shooter said so.

Also, John Wall has said that he doesn’t think his former Kentucky coach John Calipari will leave the school to coach in the NBA this season. That also includes a chance to coach LeBron James. Although, he does think Coach Cal will be back in the NBA eventually, just not this soon.

I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again, I don’t trust Calipari one bit. He’ll do what he wants to do and he’ll screw people along the way.

Tidbits:

  • After their rousing finish to Game 2 on Wednesday night, Lakers fans were chanting, “We want Boston! We want Boston!” Yeah, be careful what you wish for LA fans!

  • Avery Johnson had his second interview with the Hawks, who are rolling right along in their search to replace Mike Woodson. I hope they use some time to focus on some new players too, because that team will NOT look the same next year.
  • Clippers F Blake Griffin, who spent all of his first season injured, has been cleared to play. It’s only a matter of time until he’s back on the shelf!
  • With the reign of Mikhail Prokhorov underway, some changes have already begun for NJ. Kiki Vandeweghe, who was thrown into the head coaching spot, is out as GM and will be replaced by current team president Rod Thorn. I still feel Kiki was put in a lose-lose situation, which annoys me.
  • Yao Ming has had his first child, a 7-pound, 9-ounce baby girl. Will she play basketball like her 7’6’’ daddy? If so, let’s just hope she doesn’t get injured as much as her father.
  • The Bulls have started their head coaching interview process by starting with Rockets assistant Elston Turner. Umm.. that’s not going to bring in LeBron, guys.
