What to Watch for: Mar 1 – 7
As G said in our latest podcast, “We are in the playoff push.” Couldn’t have said it better myself, haha. Teams are playing hard and trying to survive through this long season. Here’s a look at some of the bigger games of the next week!
Monday
Hawks @ Bulls – If the Bulls want to make the playoffs, they have to win games at home. No more excuses for this team. Then again, they’re really not that good, so who am I to force to win.
Blazers @ Grizzlies – Pretty good matchup here. I like the matchup of Marcus Camby and Zach Randolph. It’s two Knicks wash-ups who have the potential to grab 20 boards any game. Current advantage: Randolph.
Nuggets @ Suns – I’m not liking my Nuggets pick as much after they blew a game to the Lakers on Sunday. Oh wait, the Suns lost to the Spurs. I rescind my last claim.
Tuesday
Kings @ Thunder – Gotta love the guard play in this game. Tyreke Evans and Russell Westbrook represent two of the brightest stars at point guard in the entire league.
Wednesday
Grizzlies @ Hornets – These two teams are just fun to watch. They’re so youthful and exciting due to their young talent. But can the Grizz beat a team that they’ll be competing with for the final playoff spot in the West?
Thunder @ Nuggets – The Thunder will lose this game.
Suns @ Clippers – Don’t ask me why, but I think this is going to be a great game. The Suns have owned the Clippers in the last few years, but I’m look for Baron Davis, aka Boomdizzle, aka The Baron, to step up.
Thursday
Lakers @ Heat – Boy, do the Heat hope the D-Wade will play in this game or what. They are lifeless without him and are less of a draw for a free agent than the Nets.

Jazz @ Suns – The Jazz just confuse me, as do the Suns. Neither of these teams will be in the Conference Finals in the West. So does this game really matter? (Well, yeah, it does)
Friday
Warriors @ Hawks – I feel like Stephen Curry is hardly in the NBA because he plays out in Oakland. He’s in Atlanta on Friday, so I consider him back in the league. I’d like to see him and Hawks G Jamal Crawford go off on each other.
Hornets @ Spurs – I am currently watching the Hornets get blown out against the Mavs as I write this. I am reconsidering this game as a watch to watch for game.
Saturday
Nets @ Knicks – My favorite rivalry, as lame as it is. I’m hoping the Nets even the season series with a win over NY. This is like my Super Bowl as a Nets fan.
Mavs @ Bulls – Daaaaaaaa Bulls (lose).
Cavs @ Bucks – I’m feeling this matchup. I wanna see B-Jennings own Mo Williams, which he won’t. But I really want to see the Bucks prove to me that they’re decent (not good, just decent) with a win at home.
Sunday
Lakers @ Magic – Finals rematch on the court where it all ended. Does Vince Carter belong in this rematch? No, and that’s not only because he wasn’t in the series last year; it’s also because I don’t like him.
Blazers @ Nuggets – Mr. Big Shot (do do do do do) Who do you think you are? Mr. Big Shot (do do do do do) Who do you think you are? Ooooohh yeaaaahhhhh. (Chauncey Billups)

Who do you think JB should have as his favorite team?
I’ve discussed it with JB on Sunday night at the Nets game, and he wants to choose a team to be a die-hard fan for. So who should it be? Here’s a short list of the candidates… you may hear more about this in the future… Leave a comment on your choice!
-
New Jersey Nets
-
Oklahoma City Thunder
-
Sacramento Kings
-
Washington Wizards

As an impartial voter, I choose the Nets to be JB’s next team!
haha thanks Shooter. I will find a team one day.
I vote Nets too!
I vote Wizards. They’re starting from scratch, and they’re somewhat close by.
But why not the Nets? They’re starting from last? haha
Love the list though, it’s like a basketball disater and JB is there to fix one lucky team!
After putting much thought and deliberation into this, I think you should go with the Kings. FOllowing Tyreke Evans would be an absolute treat and if they can get lucky, acquiring either John Wall or Evan Turner would make this team a threat in 2 or 3 years. Worst case, in a hopeful situation, pick Greg Monroe, so Spencer Hawes can come off the bench and produce. After all this, then you can say, you were there from the beginning.
But honestly though, the only team you would go wrong with is the Clippers
