Simpin' Aint Easy

Bobcats 95, Wizards 86

Al Thornton’s three pointer with eight seconds left in regulation knotted the game up at 82 points a piece, forcing overtime.  From there the Charlotte Bobcats outscored the Washington Wizards by nine points to come away with a win on the road.  Gerald Wallace led the Bobcats with an impressive 17 points, 19 rebounds, and 3 steals.  Boris Diaw also added 17 and Stephen Jackson chipped in with 16 points as well.  Mike Miller held it down for the Wizards scoring 15 points and JaVale McGee added 14 points and 12 rebounds in the loss.  Andray Blatche was limited to eight minutes after spraining his ankle on their most recent West Coast trip.  Blatche claimed it was a “coaches decision” and finished with four points and two blocks.

Knicks 109, Nuggets 104

He did everything he could tonight.

In the midst of a playoff battle and looking to stay ahead of red hot Dallas (who won tonight) the Denver Nuggets dropped a game to the abysmal Knicks at Madison Square Garden.  Danilo Gallinari led the Knicks with 28 points while hitting 5 three pointers and Al Harrington had 23 points off the bench.  Gallinari who said that he was looking forward to guarding Carmelo Anthony held Melo to 36 points.  Maybe next time Danilo.  Chauncey Billups had 25 for the Denver Nuggets.  With George Karl out I was hoping that the Nuggets would step up their game and bury the Knicks, especially when New York is starting Bill Walker and giving J.R. Giddens 21 more minutes than he should have played.  Danilo Gallinari gave every female left after the game a high five to celebrate the Knicks biggest win of the season.

In other games around the league:

Mavs 106, Clippers 96

Unlike the Nuggets, the Mavericks handled business on their playoff run.  Jason Kidd had 25 points and Dirk Nowitzki added 18.  Drew Gooden had an amazing game for the Clips scoring 26 points and grabbing 20 rebounds.

Pacers 98, Pistons 83

I feel terrible saying this, but there is no reason to even recap this game.  Both the Pistons and Pacers are awful.  Danny Granger had 32 points for the Pacers and the Pistons two great expensive bench players, Ben Gordon and Charlie Villanueva, combined for 23 points on 9 of 26 shooting.
