Andrew Bogut is Better Than Garnett, D-Wade Needed Extra Help, and the Jazz Beasted (Oh and Kobe Hit Another Winner, WTF!)
In tonight’s spotlight of games, I’ll add Andrew Bogut to the list of players better than Kevin Garnett, spotlight how the Heat need to get Wade a solid second fiddle, and show that the Jazz are a legitimate powerhouse out West.
Bucks 86, Celtics 84
Nene, myself, D.J. Mbenga, and now Andrew Bogut. That’s right, all of these players are now ranked higher than Kevin Garnett
in my eyes. Bogut was ridiculous in this game with 25 points and 17 rebounds. Garnett did have 14 points and 10 rebounds, but that was totally irrelevant in this matchup. This was a game that played into the hands of the defensive minded Celtics, but what they probably should now realize is that the Bucks are just as defensive minded, if not more. The Bucks stress defense from all players who play, whereas the Celtics’ bench is full of players that are subbed in to provide sparks…offensively. Rajon Rondo is continuing his hell of a season but the Celtic Big Three have been mysteriously inconsistent this season. In this game, the fourth quarter was owned by the Buckies who strapped in, and grinded this one out. The funniest part about this game, came when Glen “Big Baby” Davis fouled Jennings. Jennings immediately got in the face of “BB” and they both were awarded double T’s. I loved how the Young Buck stood up for himself, and this definitely sparked the Bucks late in the game. Throw in a Paul Pierce missed tie attempt and you have yourself a W.
Bobcats 83, Heat 78
Here we had another defensive battle. You have to teams who enjoy defensive games, but again, the Bobcats thrive in these types of situations. The Bobcats trailed heading into the fourth quarter but held Miami to a mere 12 points in that quarter. Big Shot Jack kept hitting “put away” jumpers in the fourth adding to his 17 points. Dwyane Wade had a solid 27 points to go with 7 rebounds, but the Heat bench was only able to muster up a lackluster 12 points. Both teams shot around 40% with the Bobcats actually shooting only 38%. But in Larry Brown-land, that’s O.K.
Jazz 132, Bulls 108
The one knock on the Jazz is that they typically are beasts at home, but struggle on the road. Well tonight, they came to Chicago
and beat the Bulls like they stole something. Seven players for Utah scored in double figures, with C.J. Miles knocking in 26 points off the bench. No player on the Bulls scored higher than Derrick Rose’s 25. Scoring wasn’t as much the issue for Chicago, but they did a horrible job defensively. It didn’t help that Utah shot 60% from down town, and 54% from the field. Derrick Rose and Deron Williams combined for 53 points and 30 assists. That’s absurd. It’s obvious that the future of NBA point guards is in good hands. Chicago will have to step up defensively if they hope to perform well down the stretch.

(Some scores from around the league at the time of this post….)
Pacers 107, Sixers 96 (Yesss, as a Sixer fan I’m rooting for losses.)
Magic 113, Clippers 87 (I hear Mike Dunleavey is out as GM. Ha!)
Rockets 96, Wizards 88 (Lowkey, the Wiz have played hard since the trades.)
Trailblazers 88, Kings 81 (Nice game from both teams…lot of defensive battles tonight.)
THIS JUST IN:
Kobe hit another game winner, his sixth of the season, to put the Lakers over the Raptors 109-107. Ha!

Seriously, eff the Celtics. Doc Rivers is terrible. I can’t stand this effin team anymore, and everything about the organization pisses me off. This is the 13th game since Christmas where they have had halftime lead and lost. That’s something the Pacers, Sixers, and Golden State are supposed to do. Not a potential championship team. Pathetic, utterly pathetic.
I am no longer a Celtics fan, I am strictly a Ray Allen fan. The tradegy however, is he is on a team I now can’t stand.
The Commish, I am not sorry.
I think you should do a blog post on the complex ways in which you are a fan of teams/players lol.
