What to Watch for: Feb 8 – 15
Less than a week until the All-Star Game!! But not so fast, there’s still four more days of NBA action left before we get to a weekend of the game’s best. But be sure to check back to NBAtoday.net for full coverage of the All-Star Game and all of its events.

Monday
Mavericks @ Warriors – This game might not even be that great, but I just remember the 2007 playoffs when the Warriors upset the Mavs in the first round. Man, that was great. I wish I could see Mark Cuban’s face again.
Spurs @ Lakers – Remember when the Spurs and Lakers was a matchup for the ages? Wait, that was the case last year, and it was supposed to be the case this year. It’s the Spurs fault though because they are the ones that can’t seem to stay consistent this year.
Tuesday
Timberwolves @ Sixers – What? Whoops, I didn’t mean to put this game here… or did I? Actually, I did. Both of these teams are coming into the game with four-game winning streaks! So the question isn’t whose streak will end… it is who will actually have a five-game winning streak.
Hawks @ Grizzlies – This game is full of young talent; the kind of talent that gets me VERY excited! The Grizz are looking to get back on track after a slip from their playoff position. The Hawks are trying to maintain their spot near the top of the East. Josh Smith and Al Horford against Rudy Gay and OJ Mayo.
Mavericks @ Nuggets – Two of the best in the West. Man, how often do I say that. But I think this one will last as legit. The Mavs have been slipping of late, but I’ll bet that Dirk the Jirk and the rest of his clan will look to go into hosting the All-Star break on a little bit of a run. Although, the Nuggets just embarrassed the Lakers in LA, so it’s not going to be easy.
Thunder @ Blazers – The Ref said it best: it’s a great matchup of a team that is one of the best on the road and another team that is one of the best at home. I honestly couldn’t believe it when he said that the Thunder had one of the best road records in the league, but it’s true!
Wednesday

Heat @ Hawks – These two teams could meet in the first round, again. I hope not, because it would be a pretty lousy series. But in the regular season, each team hopes to get into the head of the other. Who will be able to take the lead in the sense? Gotta wait and see…
Magic @ Bulls – Whenever I think about the Magic playing at the Bulls, I think of the end of Space Jam.
Lakers @ Jazz – The Lakers always have a hard time in Salt Lake City (except for the playoffs), and it doesn’t get any easier with a less than 100% Kobe Bryant. I’m sure it’ll be a tough one, but in the podcast G (who never picks the Lakers) said Kobe ought to come out and take care of those doubters.
Thursday
Magic @ Cavs – It’s the last night before the all-star break and we’ve saved a heck of a game. It’s a rematch of the Eastern Conference finals from last season, one that the Magic won in six games. I’d like to see LeBron walk off that floor sad again.
Spurs @ Nuggets – Last game before the break. Too bad it couldn’t be a better matchup, haha. But, this is a watch to watch for, so here is what you will be watching for: the Nuggets will win.

All-Star Weekend Preview
I considered previewing the All-Star Weekend here (Rookie Challenge, Slam Dunk, All-Star Game, etc.) but I realized I wouldn’t really be doing it an justice. So here’s the deal: check back later in the week for a preview of the entire weekend’s events with predictions from everyone on the staff.
