Top 25 Scoreboard: 2/13 & 2/14
The countdown to March Madness is T-Minus 3 weeks and I can barely contain myself. I have literally lost it and it’s awesome. I found myself wiping my extremities… after I took a piss. It’s crazy I know, but that’s why they call it March Madness, and thinking about big teams like Kansas, Kentucky, Villanova, and Michigan State making a run out the final four with NBA prospects Scottie Reynolds, John Wall, DeMarcus Cousins, Kalin Lucas, and Sherron Collins leading their respected teams to College Basketball glory is dangerously exciting.
Now, it’s getting interesting around the league. A lot of upsets while other teams are finding their groove. We’ll start with teams that are hitting the wall at the wrong time: Connecticut, North Carolina, Notre Dame, and UNLV. All these teams have been completely disappointing, especially Connecticut, with the line up they put out their every night, they have no excuse to just be 3 games over .500.
Teams on the rise: Maryland, Texas A&M, New Mexico, Wake Forest, and almost 6 teams in the A-10. Seriously, the A-10 is amazing this year, with Temple, Rhode Island, and Xavier leading the way and already beating the top teams in the nation. It will be fun to see how far these teams go in the tournament. At least 5 will make it from the conference, and this gives me a chance to give a shout out to a player that JB and I played with. Marquis Jones is averaging 6 points, 4 assists, and 2 steals a game as the starting point guard. It’s a good to see a local guy, who’ve you seen work his ass off to get where he is and it’s all panning out. Awesome job Mr. Jones and good luck in the tourney.
