Kobe is BACK, Thunder Let One Slip Away, Philly Stinks (But Won)
He’ssss baaaack. Kobe Bryant returned after missing the last 5 Laker games. The team went 4-1 without him but definitely needed him back and it’s safe to say if they didn’t have Kobe they wouldn’t have won this game, considering he made a game tying 3-pointer with under a minute left and then hit the game winner with 4 seconds left. Kobe is unreal, out of his mind and if you watch the end of this game that is why he is hands down the best player in the NBA (sorry LeBron, sorry Melo).
The Grizz were up by 2 and had a chance to put the game away with Mayo on the line and he missed BOTH free throws! You know when that fluke happened Kobe was going to do something crazy, and he did. He drove to the basket and got blocked on a shot that Rudy Gay should have just grabbed instead of swat out of bounds. Ok so now Kobe is DEFINITELY going to do something great after given another chance. After a perfect screen from Pau, Kobe banged down a wide open 3 to put the Lakers up 1 with 4.3 to play. Game over as Mayo missed a fadeaway jumper as the buzzer sounded.
Kevin Durant was able to keep his consecutive 25+ streak going at 29 after scoring a whopping 36 points. The Thunder held an 8-point lead with 2:45 to go but the Suns came storming back to win on a Jason Richardson floater with 0.7 remaining on the clock. It was an exciting finish and the loss ended the Thunder’s 9-game winning streak.
The win for the Sun was very impressive on the road and even moreso because it was without Steve Nash who was resting is back. Dragic filled in nicely with 16 points and 10 assists. Jason Richardson recorded his first double-double this year with 20 points and 13 rebounds.
Pistons 101, Kings 89
In a battle of the bads the Pistons came out on top. The Pistons shot a ridiculous 58% from the field and Prince and Hamilton combined for 52 points. I hate the Pistons though so I’m going to stop talking about them. The Kings started another new lineup marking this as the 57th new lineup in 57 games for the Kings (not really, but almost) and Tyreke Evans had a beast of a game with 28 points and 13 assists, setting a career high in assists.
Sixers 110, Warriors 102
I was watching this game on NBAtv whenver they had it on and boy do the Sixers stink. They had a 20 point lead on the Warriors who literally don’t play defense. The lead was cut to 3 multiple times and the Warriors had a shot until Lou Williams hit the dagger with about 20 seconds to as the shot clock expired. This was a matchup between G’s favorite team and the team G is thinking of switching to. I’d say if the Sixers blew that lead G would now be a Warriors fan.
Lou Williams has started since AI has been out and he had a monster game with 26-10 boards-7 assists. Monta Ellis was the high point man for the Warriors (that’s no surprise) with 22 but on 8-22 shooting.
-The Basher

This has been sixer style basketball all year and it’s directly related to Eddie jordans misuse of the lineups and rotation. It’s so annoying. Can’t wait to be a warriors fan.
I don’t even get surprised anymore when Kobe does this anymore. It’s incredible. I am almost in complete shock when he misses. He is just that good.
With the Thunder, I am little concerned for the near future. These are one of these losses that defines a team in how they will respond. You can see it on everyone’s faces. This one hurt. They allowed the Suns to end the game on a 16-4 run in the last 2:30, after only giving up 8 points in the previous 11 minutes.
The Thunder did more than let this one slipped away, they choked big time. Now, they have a tough schedule in front of them. We’ll see what happens. Their playoff bid starts now.
Time to hit the breaks on the bandwagon
Yeah, for the Grizzlies fans on the staff.
The difference between the Grizzlies fans and the Thunder fans is that the Grizzlies fans were never really fans, they just always liked them. The Thunder fans picked them because they were up and coming and they wanted to say they knew this was coming.
