WOW.  I called that one, what a huge disappointment for Shannon Brown.  I’d say 80% of people I spoke to about the dunk contest had him bagged in as the winner.  I’ll be honest, I think I had him in the finals but I knew he wouldn’t win.  That was such a big let down.  Last year at this time LeBron James was talking (we all know he loooooves talking) about being the dunk contest and one year later we get this lame ass event where Shannon Brown is just doing alley-oops-I-forgot-this-was-a-dunk-contest.  Is it just me or has All-Star Weekend gotten lamer and lamer after Air Canada left the building for good?  The Dwight Howard-Nate Robinson showdown was good but a matchup like that won’t happen for a while now.

Here’s Shannon’s “bring the house down” dunk.

In addition I picked Robinson to win this because this contest is rigged.  The year Robinson beat AI2 you knew it was a wrap any time Nate the Great makes an appearance in this contest… especially if Spud Webb is a judge (Nate dunked over him a few years ago).
