Could the All-Star Game (in Dallas) be Snowed Out??

Well, no, it won’t be. But while I have your attention I might as well explain the concerns that are real around this situation.

There are some travel issues due to snow storms that apparently are going on all over the U.S. The east coast got hit so hard that the Nets were just under their average attendance at 1,016 spectators. Well, it’s not the same storm, but even Dallas is feeling some chill. By the end of Thursday night, the Dallas/Fort Worth area is expected to accumulate 4-6 inches of snow.

What’s the impact? As of right now, NBA officials are saying that everything will remain on schedule. Events start as early as Friday night, so some people will still have to make it in on time to participate.

Some players could have some problems making it in time from the areas they are coming from, but everyone should have at least a short delay in arriving in Dallas before the events. Man, that airport is going to be busy!

Not only may players have some issues with arriving in Dallas on time, but there are certainly a whole lot of fans that are experiencing the same issues. They are expecting over 90,000 fans in Cowboys Stadium on Sunday, and about 20,000 fans at American Airlines Center on Friday/Saturday nights. Hopefully they planned all Jam Session events indoors!

Hopefully everyone can stay safe in the area since they are definitely not used to have snow, and especially up to half a foot!
