Carter and Superman Lead Magic; Cavs Bring Grizz Back to Reality; Raps Play No Defense

Magic 99, Bucks 82

Vince Carter, who has been playing awful as of late, finally put together a solid game to help the Magic put away the pesky Bucks.  Carter scored 17 points on seven of fifteen shooting, grabbed 10 rebounds, and actually had 7 assists.  This is the type of play that I think the Magic were hoping for Carter, who is currently shooting an abysmal 38% from the field this year.  Superman, Dwight Howard, put up his normal type numbers; 22 points, 11 rebounds, and 5 blocks.  Superman and Carter led the Magic, who had six players in double figures, in scoring.  Brandon Jennings struggled in this game even without injured Jameer Nelson in the lineup.  The rookie finished with 2 points on one of seven shooting and 4 assists in 27 minutes of play.  Luke Ridnour and Charlie Bell led the Bucks with 13 apiece and Carlos Delfino struggled shooting 2 of 13 from the field.

Cavs 105, Grizz 89

By no means am I taking anything away from the new NBAtoday.net fan favorite Grizzlies.  They just split the hardest back-to-back any team could have.  One night after holding on to beat the Lakers, the Grizzlies just did not have anything from the start of this game as they fell behind by ten early in the first quarter against the Cavs.  LeBron James and Shaquille O’Neal led the onslaught for the Cavs.  James finished with a modest 22 points, 15 assists, 6 rebounds, and an incredible block off the backboard.  Shaq continues to test Father Time as he had a very effective 13 points, 13 rebounds, and 4 blocks in 21 minutes.  Rudy Gay led all Grizz-Kidz with 15 points.  The biggest surprise was the Cavs ability to shut down All-Star Zach Randolph.  Randolph was held to 8 points and 4 rebounds.  Tonight’s game was the fewest amount of rebounds Randolph has pulled down all season.

Pacers 130, Raptors 115

The Raptors road woes continue as their defense failed to make the trip from Toronto to Indiana.  Chris Bosh and Andrea Bargnani both has monSTAR games but it was not enough.  Bosh put up 35 points and ripped down 15 boards and Bargnani put in 34 of his own.  Sonny Weems, who filled in for injured Hedo Turkoglu, was scoreless and ineffective.  Danny Granger led the Pacers barrage with 23 points and 3 blocks. Troy Murphy had 20 and 14 in the win that had seven Pacers in double figures.
