The Only Raptor Flying High Tonight..

Trailblazers 101, Raptors 87

Chris Bosh missed yet another game due to his bad ankle and the Trailblazers capitalized.  Andrew Miller fell three rebounds short of a triple-double with 18 points, 10 assists, and 7 rebounds.  Brandon Roy had 20 points and Rudy Fernandez added 17 off the bench.  In Bosh’s absence Hedo Turkoglu and Jarrett Jack stepped up their game, but it was not enough.  Turkoglu had 24 points and hit eight of his nine shots.  Jack had 18 points and 8 assists as he continues to keep his starting spot over Jose Calderon.  The Raptors are hopeful that Chris Bosh will return to action this weekend.

Grizzlies 99,  Wizards 94

The Washington Wizards continue to play hard after dismantling their team and starting from scratch, but it was not enough as the Wizard lose 99 to 94.  Zach Randolph, Rudy Gay, and Marc Gasol all scored twenty or more points and grabbed at least seven rebounds.  Randolph led the Grizzlies with 22 points and 9 rebounds.  O.J. Mayo also added 17 points and 8 assists.  Andray Blatche continued to take advantage of his opportunity to start and play major minutes by scoring 24 points, grabbing 8 rebounds, and had 5 assists.  Al Thornton, the new incumbent starter due to Josh Howard’s season ending injury, also played well posting a double-double (16 points and 11 rebounds).

Bucks 115, Hornets 95

Darren Collison and Marcus Thornton may have both outscored fellow Rookie Brandon Jennings, but Jennings and the Bucks were able to pull away with a twenty point victory.  Andrew Bogut (of course when I play against him in fantasy basketball) had another monster game this week putting up 26 points while grabbing 13 rebounds.  Jennings had a quiet game scoring 9 points and dishing out 4 assists in 25 minutes.  John Salmons, who is now starting for the Bucks, added 18 in the win.  Darren Collison has been amazing since Chris Paul’s injury and tonight was no different.  Collison had 22 points and 9 assists in forty-two minutes of play.  Marcus Thornton struggled from the field shooting eight of twenty-one but still finished with 25 points.  These two, along with Chris Paul, have a chance to put up major numbers night in and night out in the future.

In two other games around the league:

Hawks 98, Timberwolves 92

The Atlanta Hawks only shot 40% from the field but made up for it by shooting twenty-eight of thirty-two free throws to hold off the Timberwolves 98 to 92.  Josh Smith led the Hawks with 27 points, 10 rebounds, 5 assists, and 2 blocks.  Joe Johnson had 21 points in the winning effort.  Kevin Love and Ryan Hollis (yes Ryan Hollis) led the Timberwolves.  Love had 19 points and 12 rebounds off the bench and Hollis had 18 points in six of nine shooting.

Bulls 120, Pacers 110

Danny Granger (5-14, 20 points) did what he could, but it was not another as the Pacers continue to struggle this season.  Brandon Rush had 17 and TJ Ford added 14 points off the bench.  Luol Deng had 31 points and 9 rebounds.  Derrick Rose had 23 of his own and Rookie, Taj Gibson, pitched in with a double-double (14 points and 11 rebounds).
