Nuggets 123, Warriors 122

The Nuggets were without Melo, Billups and the Birdman yet again, but the Nuggets still managed to win the game with 0.4 seconds left.  JR Smith took about a 40-footer, pumped faked and was fouled.  it sent JR to the line who hit the first 2 free throws to put the Nuggets up 1 and missed the last one on purpose.  Ty Lawson continues to impress with 21 points and 8 assists but left the game with what appeared to be a sprained ankle.  Joey Graham also got a start and scored 20 points himself.

For the Warriors, Ellis dropped his usual 32 points while Maggette had 30 points and Curry had 26 points, 6 assists and 5 rebounds while hitting 6-6 from down town.  When those 3 combine for 84 you would think they would win by 10+ but not with the Warriors lack of defense.

Clown of the game: Mikki Moore.  He didn’t play a single second, oh wait that’s right he was cut yesterday.

Grizzlies 109, Blazers 105

Wow, how impressive are the Grizzlies this year?  They beat the Blazers on the road and Randolph and Gasol were impressive yet again with a double-double each.  OJ Mayo and Randolph led the Grizzlies with 27 a piece.  The most impressive part of this team is the Grizzlies bench.  If you haven’t noticed their bench players are 2 rookies (Thabeet and Young) and 1 veteran (Tinsley).

The Blazers had just 7 guys play in this one tonight and are really sturggling to stay healthy.  Blake is out indefinitely now with pneumonia.  They recently called up Patty Mills after 1 game in the D-League and I hope to see him get some action.

Clown of the game: Steve Blake.  Stop getting sick.

Suns 113, Kings 109

This game was back and forth in the 4th quarter as both teams were trading buckets including 8 straight points from Udrih of the Kings but in the end it was too much Steve Nash.  Nash finished the game with 30 points nad 12 assists.  The Suns were outrebounded 49-41 but got 24 points from Amare and 20 points from Richardson.

Omri Casspi scored 24 points and snagged 7 rebounds.  It was the 4th straight game that Casspi scored 20 points or more and the 24 points was a career high.  Tyreke Evans had a great game as he is slowly returning from injury; he had 27 points, 11 rebounds and 7 assists.

Clown of the game: Leonardo Barbosa.  He scored just 5 points on 1-7 and played just 13 minutes.  Barbosa has been given a reduced role as of late and I’m not quite sure why.

Lakers 88, Rockets 79

The Rockets never had a lead in this game and were down by as many as 12 before bringing it within 2 in the 4th quarter on a Battier 3-pointer.  Carl Landry scored 19 points and had 6 rebounds playing 30 minutes off the bench, yet again.

Lamar Odom stepped up big time for the injured Pau Gasol; he had 17 points, 19 rebounds and 9 assists.  Also Andrew Bynum had a great game with one less 7-footer clogging the lane (24 points, 8 rebounds).  Ron Artest also returned to the lineup but shot just 3-11 with 7 points and 7 rebounds.

Clown of the game: I would say Ron Artest for shooting so poorly but he is coming off of a concussion so I couldn’t do that to him.
