Hornets Buzz in Indy, Suns Involved in Blowout (in Loss), Knicks are NOT Good

Hornets 101, Pacers 96

The New Orleans Hornets may not be one of the best teams in the league, and they may not completely click as a team all the time, but they have the talent to survive.

In Indianapolis, David West led the Wasps in scoring with 24 points to go with his six boards. Chris Paul just missed another triple-double with 22 points, 11 assists, and eight rebounds. He is an incredibly special player. I honestly wish I could see him play more often.

In the loss, Roy Hibbert led the Pacers with a career-high 27 points with 10 rebounds. He is starting to really come into his own as a center in this league. Hibbert is proving me wrong, that’s for sure!

For the Hornets, they have won 8 of 10 games, but remain in last place in the Southwest division – despite being three games over .500! They are tied for 10th in the West, and in case you’re wondering that’d be 5th place in the East.

Bobcats 125, Suns 99

Is it just me, or does it seem like the Suns are involved in a blow out (either winning or losing) like every other game?

Well, yesterday they were involved in a losing buzzer beater in Atlanta, but on Saturday night it was a blow out again – this time, in losing fashion. The Bobcats completely owned this game from the first quarter on and they even had a total of 74 points at halftime. I remember the days when this team would score less than 74 a game!

The Bobcats are now back at .500 in the latest point of the season in the franchise’s history. Stephen Jackson led the way with 29 points, and Gerald Wallace scored 29 points with 13 rebounds.

Crazy stat of the game: Both teams had a player reach 10,000 career points in this game. Jackson hit the mark as part of his 29 and Amare Stoudemire reached the 10,000 point plateau as part of his 19 points.

Wizards 96, Kings 86

I’m not a Wizards fan, and I have no emotional attachment (good or bad) to that team. But they really deserve this win on Saturday night in DC. The team and its fans have been through a tough week, with ‘Gil’ Arenas to blame. It’s nice to wrap the week up with a win at home.

Brendan Haywood picked up a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds. Caron Butler led the team with 19 points in the win. Also as part this victory, Wizards head coach Flip Saunders picked up his 600th career victory. He is the 22nd coach to reach the 600 win mark. Good for him!

Pistons 94, Knicks 90

In Detroit, the Pistons used a tremendous second quarter to jump to an early lead, which they nearly blew in the fourth quarter. Nevertheless, the Pistons held on for a four-point win.

Rodney Stuckey led the Pistons with 20 points. Chris Wilcox and Charlie Villanueva both picked up double-doubles with 14-10 and 19-10, respectively.

I can’t believe the Pistons won again. I think the NBAtoday staff should highlight how bad the Knicks are instead of being excited about them “winning” again.

Word to the wise, the Knicks are still really bad – they just happen to have more wins than normal.

BANG BANG!

I think someone is just upset that the Nets are so terrible and will NEVER get Lebron.

LeBron wouldn’t go to New York to play for the Knicks, he would go to play for NEW YORK.

    That doesn’t make sense.

It makes perfect sense, just think about it
