Clipper Nation: The Most Dedicated Fans?

28 January 2010 487 views 2 Comments

In a report from the Wall-Street Journal, Clipper fans are (apprantely) the most faithful/dedicated fans in the NBA… EVER!  Sports-reference.com made a study that analized things like a cities population, if another team plays in that city, prior attendance, winning perctages etc.  Somehow, after all that, the Clippers came out on top with a close second for Warrior fans!

Just a little background on the Clippers, they have had a losing season 17 out of the last 20 seasons and the Clippers and Warriors have a combined .399 winning percentage since 2000-2001!  “Other teams” in the same location must play a HUGE factor in determining who are the most dedicated fans.  I don’t care what a sports poll says, there is no way the Clippers are the most dedicated fans.

The Cavs, Bulls and Mavs average the most fans per game and round out the top 5; this makes sense for these franchises at least!

Basically all this is saying to me is losing brings in new fans and keeps the old ones happy, sort of!  Well if that’s the case why are the 4-40 Nets next to last on the list and the Sixers are DEAD LAST.  Shout out to East Coast fans baby!

I think the Nets arena location is the major reason besides the record why the arena is a morgue.

I think they could fill more seats playing in Newark.

I hope the Brooklyn move goes thru.

I am just sickened with this season.

Despite all this cap room they have for next years huge free agent class none of these stars are gonna want to go there now after
    watching this year.
