To Dunk or Not to Dunk – LeBron Goes Back on His Word
After making headlines and creating a lot of ‘hoop’la (pun absolutely intended) during last year’s All-Star Game in Phoenix, in regard to joining the squad for the 2010 Slam Dunk Contest, LeBron James is now taking back his word. After Wednesday night’s game against the Suns, James said he is now only “50-50″ in terms of his chances of participating in the event.
We all know what that means – there is NO WAY he is doing this event. Just from personal experience, and I’m sure each of you can vouch for this, anytime someone is 100% down to do something, and he or she later downgrades to 50-50, that means they are, give or take, 0% going to do it.
So LeBron, why do you even bother to open your mouth? Nothing you say has any meaning anymore; I mean heck, this is the second time in three days that I’ve bashed you on something you said - but you are making it impossible to not do it! I feel like maybe I should change my name to The Basher Jr., but that’s not by choice. Whenever you say something stupid, I just get so amped up about it, I can’t help myself but put it into words.
To all the little boys out there who look up to LeBron for inspiration and motivation, I’d like to take a moment to apologize for ‘The King’s’ behavior. I’m a college graduate, which LeBron isn’t, and apparently they subconsiously teach you how to think before you speak in college. That’s the only explanation I have for this.
My thoughts when LeBron originally said he would participate in the ‘10 contest were exactly this: I’ll believe it when I see it. It’s come to the point where I just shake my head when he speaks. For real though, why did LeBron change his mind? “I was excited,” he said. “When I said it I was very excited about doing it. I was there at the event and you get caught up in it a little bit.”
No, LeBron, you always get caught up in the moment. As a superstar you have to realize that you are always ‘in the moment’. So next time, why don’t you take a ‘moment’ and shut your mouth.
BANG BANG!

LeBron is a b**** if he doesn’t do the dunk contest. Props to Dwight Howard for being a superstar and actually participating. The league is full of p***ies.
And he’s a double b**** if he doesn’t change his number to 6 next year. I’m sick of this guy talking. I kinda dread having to hear his interviews with Al Trautwig, Mike Breen, and Walt Frazier next year.
Well it’s official. I hate Lebron James.
Seeing him talk is like watching an episode of “The Hills”
GOT ‘EM! Good stuff Shooter. You should have your own section where you bash LeBron since it’s occurring on a daily basis. You throw that college degree in his face, I like it!
Oh, and I agree, 0% chance. Of course he was in the moment, he was at the dunk contest it’s all about hype surrounding the dunks now anyway.
