Actually I just got burned pretty bad. Good catch Shooter. I think all NBA fans are just hoping Tim Donaghy does not = Jose Canseco.

I must have had Celtic Pride on my mind when I wrote my first post.

Isn’t Daniel Stern an actor? I believe you mean David Stern (he happens to be the NBA commissioner).

I absolutely agree. That’s why I didn’t go into all of his accusations, but it’s difficult to give him any credibility after all of the lies.

Donaghy is most definitely a liar and a cheat. No one can argue with that. He has made a lot of bold claims in his books and recent interviews, but there is no way they are all false. I don’t know to what extent they are true (and there will probably be no way to ever tell), but to brand everything he has said as a complete falsehood, then you are a fool. Biases for/against players are obvious, and there are definitely nights when games are too onesided. Like I said, IF there was ever any other cases of point shaving or simply favoritism, then Daniel Stern would make sure no one would know, but to rule out any possibilty of it completely would be foolish.

Awesome job. Nice job backing up your ref buddies! Good summary there, I feel like I don’t need to read his book and he really is a jack***. I mean what and idiot. His “strategies” weren’t strategies they were flat out guesses and he is clearly lying through his teeth. This man deserves nothing in life and I’m glad he went to jail and I hope he goes back (for no apparent reason).
