The following quotes are REAL and will be in the next issue of Sporting News.  Steve Greenburg met up with Ron Artest for this interview in which Artest admitted to some interesting things.

Apparently Artest admitted that he used to drink alcohol…AT HALFTIME, while with the Bulls!  How did anyone let him get away with this, and how did no one notice? 

“I used to drink Hennessy … at halftime.  I (kept it) in my locker. I’d just walk to the liquor store (near the stadium) and get it.”

While at St. John’s Artest lived an interesting life.  Just listening to Artest talk today you know he parties all the time and now we know this for a fact.

“When I was a 19-year-old father, whew. I was a single pimp! I was wild. A lot of marijuana and alcohol—even before (that age). … I (still) party and I have fun, but not like I used to. I used to drink every night and party every night.”

Ever wonder if Artest still thinks about that almost fight between him and Ben Wallace in 2004 at the Palace?

“I see Ben, I’m on my guard now. I’m always in the mood to fight him. … I’ll get suspended 10 games, 15 games (because) I’ll just fight him right there. It won’t go into the stands.”

This just proves to me that Ron Artest is clinically insane.  As good as he is I’m not really sure he is worth having on a team.  I’d like to interview Kobe Bryant and see what his reaction is to what Artest said to Greenburg.  I was baffled when I read this and I still can’t believe he  basically played basketball buzzed.
