With two clutch free throws by Aaron Brooks, the Houston Rockets scrapped out a solid win against the Golden State Warriors. The Warriors did play pretty good basketball, even with Don Nelson returning to the sidelines, but even with Golden State’s huge third quarter, they never could quite put the Rockets away.

I’ve noticed all year that the Rockets are very resilient. Brooks had 25 points, while six other Houston players scored in double figures. Monta Ellis poured in 24 points, and had 8 assists for the Warriors. One funny tidbit from this game is that the Rockets beat the Warriors by the exact same score at Golden State’s home opener. The Warriors have now lost 8 straight to Houston.

Down 10 in the fourth quarter, the Rockets hit the gas and took control of the game. Sharpshooter Anthony Morrow tied the game with a three, with less than a minute to go, until Brooks hit those crucial free throws. Golden State was unable to convert with seconds to go, turning the ball over.

That’s G: Vlad Radmanovic has been great for Golden State. Tonight, he had 20 pts, 8 rebs, 6 asts, and 3 stls!

That’s Pee: Oh so Monta had 8 assists. Too bad he also had 9 turnovers.

In his seven seasons in the NBA, Dwayne Wade has failed to win a game in only one city. That is Denver. Maybe its the air? Wade is 0-6 at the Pepsi Center, and tonight, the Nuggets straight up dominated this game. Fueled by an 18-2 run in the second quarter, the Nuggs never looked back and were up by as much as 29 in this game.

Denver was fluid on offense, and was even better defensively. They kept Wade out of the paint, and forced him to only take jumpshots. Wade still managed to score 25 and grab 10 rebounds, but he wasn’t able to drive and dish to the Heat shooters. Because I didn’t get to wrap up the Celtics game tonight, I’m going to use this wrap up to still dig at them. Nene Hilario is a stud. I will take Nene over Garnett alllllll daaaaayyyyy. Nene had 15 pts, 8 rebs, and 4 asts. Now you’re probably thinking these are modest numbers, but Nene had about 10 energy plays in this game. Dunks…behind the back passes…diving for loose balls. I’m in shock. Nene is the real deal. Melo had a cool 22, and Aaron Affalo was great with 17 points, including a four point play.

Nene for president! Balkman for VP!

That’s G: The Birdman had 3 blocks, 10 rebounds, and 9 points….off the bench. Ka Kaaaaaw!

That’s Pee: Q Rich. I know you lost 25 lbs this offseason, but you can’t score 3 pts in 30 mins. C’mon.
