LeBron Rips on Noah’s game…(sigh)

While I was perusing some game notes, I came across an interview from the Cavs/Bulls game last night. Basically, LeBron was dancing at a timeout after a nice alley-oop from Mo Williams. Joakim Noah didn’t take nicely to it, and started a little altercation with LeBron. The King was hit with a T.

After the game, however, LeBron spoke with the media. He didn’t mean any harm when he got T’ed up – but, he criticized Noah’s game!

“It’s nothing against the Bulls and it’s nothing against Joakim or none of those guys,” he said. “It’s nothing about showboating on a team. I’ve seen it happen all last year. I think he (Noah) was more frustrated about the way he played as an individual. He didn’t help his team win.”

…Really? All of a sudden, Noah is more concerned about how he played? While the points weren’t there (only 7 on 2-7 shooting), Noah actually had a nice game rebounding and on the defensive end (10 rebounds – 3 offensive boards, 1 block, 1 steal). He also tallied up 3 assists – which for a Center, is pretty good. Last time I checked, assists help the team…

I’m not a huge Noah fan, but I will stand by his side on this one. I’m going into “bash” mode. LeBron – who are you to start criticizing other people’s game? Are you in the head of Joakim Noah, and you know he’s frustrated about his individual performance? The rule is, don’t assume because it makes an ASS out of U and ME. And just because you are the second coming of Christ (read – Jordan) to the NBA, doesn’t mean you have to kick people while they are down.

Kudos to Noah for taking the high road without a retort to this garbage. And LeBron, get a new PR rep or don’t talk at all in interviews.
