LeBron Carries Cavs, Murphy Torches Bobcats, and More!

Cavs 108, 76ers 101
LeBron James and the Cavs (19-7) made sure Roy Halladay would not witness his first win since joining the Phillies this week. James scored 36 points, including some big three pointers in the fourth, had 7 assists, and grabbed 6 rebounds to hold off the 76ers (6-19). Shaquille O’Neal had 10 points and 9 rebound, but LeBron put the Cavs on his back in order to get this win.
Andre Iguodala led the Sixers with 26 points and 7 rebounds. Thaddus Young, who continues to start in front of Elton Brand, had 16 points and 10 rebounds in the loss. Allen Iverson had 16 points of his own to go along with 6 assists and 5 rebounds.
Pacers 101, Bobcats 98
The Pacers (9-14) rode Troy Murphy’s hot hand and held off a late comeback by the Bobcats (10-14) to win 101-98. Murphy hit 10 of his 13 shots (including 5-7 from three) ending up with 26 points and 15 rebounds. Mike Dunleavy and T.J. Ford both scored 15 apiece for the Pacers.
Gerald Wallace had a monster game for the Bobcats. Wallace scored 29 points, pulled down 12 rebounds, and recorded 4 steals. Tyson Chandler had 13 points and 13 rebounds. Stephen Jackson, who struggled shooting 7-23, finished with 22 points. Down three points with under two seconds left D.J. Augustine hit a deep three that would have put the game into overtime. Unfortunately for the Bobcats, Augustine was not able to get his shot off in time.
Hawks 110, Grizzlies 97
Joe Johnson’s 26 points and Al Horford’s double-double helped the Hawks win their eighteenth game of the year. Rookie Sam Young led the Grizzlies with 23 points off the bench.
Magic 118, Raptors 99
Chris Bosh’s 20 points were not enough to keep the Raptors in the game against the Orlando Magic. Rashard Lewis had 23 points and Matt Barnes had 20 off the bench for the Magic. Dwight Howard stepped up and almost had his first triple-double of the season. He finished with 18 points, 14 rebounds, and 8 blocks.
Hornets 95, Pistons 87
The Hornets bounced back from a rough first half outscoring the Pistons by 21 on route to a 95-87 win. David West dominated torching the Pistons for 32 points and 12 rebounds. Chris Paul also did his part with a double-double on his own. He had 16 points and 12 assists. Rodney Stuckey led the Pistons with 26 points and Charlie Villanueva had 18 points off the bench.
Nuggets 111, Rockets 101
Carmelo Anthony continued his MVP campaign by scoring 38 points and grabbing 9 rebounds. Melo was able to get to the free throw line hitting 19-20. J.R. Smith had 21 off the bench. Aaron Brooks paced the Rockets with 23 points while dishing out 7 assists. Trevor Ariza, back from his one-game suspension, had 18 points and 8 rebounds.
