Lakers 124, Warriors 118

Playing a fast pace game to keep up with the Warriors, Kobe Bryant had his 103rd 40-point performance to lead the Lakers to a 124-118 win against the Warriors. Bryant finished with 44 points and also dished out eleven assists to complete the double-double. Pau Gasol dominated the paint scoring 27 points and ripping down 12 rebounds. Lamar Odom also had his own double-double scoring scoring 11 points and grabbing 11 rebounds.

The Warriors were led by Corey Maggette’s 25 points and Monta Ellis’s 22. Anthony Randolph and Ronnie Turiaf were not able to score many points, but each blocked 5 shots apiece. Rookie Stephen Curry scored 15 points in twenty-three minutes.

Rockets 108, Hornets 100

When you see the stat line for both Chris Paul and David West, you will not believe the outcome of this game. Chris Paul notched a triple-double scoring 15 points, recording 11 rebounds, and dished out 10 assists. David West scored 44 points while shooting 18-30 from the field. The problem was no other players scored in double figures.

Aaron Brooks matched CP3′s stellar play by scoring 27 points of his own. Shane Battier and Carl Landry played well scoring 20 points and 18 points respectively. Luis Scola recorded another double-double scoring 13 points and had 12 rebounds.

Bulls 104, Pacers 95

With Coach Del Negro on his way out, the Bulls, led by Derrick Rose, came together to beat the Pacers 104 to 95. Rose had 28 points and 6 assists and Luol Deng had 15 points and 8 rebounds in the win. Tyrus Thomas did not let his poor shooting night affect his game. Thomas finished with 8 points on 2-10 shooting. One of his two baskets was an incredible put back dunk on Josh McRoberts’ head.  He also had 15 rebounds and three blocks in the win.

The Pacers were led by Roy Hibbert’s 17 points and are going nowhere as long as Danny Granger is out.  Dunleavy and Solomon Jones both had 13 points apiece for the Pacers.

Spurs 117, T-Wolves 99

The Spurs had no problem at all disposing the T-Wolves, snapping their two-game win streak. Richard Jefferson led the Spurs with 24 points and Tim Duncan had a solid game going 17 and 10 in 26 minutes of play. Roger Mason and Manu Ginobili both scored in double figures off the bench for the Spurs.

The T-Wolves were paced by Al Jefferson’s 20 points and 8 rebounds. Kevin Love had 18 points and 12 rebounds but took a spill in the second half. He landed on his injured left hand, but thankfully returned to the game. The T-Wolves can’t afford to have Kevin Love miss anymore games if they want to stay ahead of the Nets.
