Hawks 80, Mavs 75

On a night where 37.3% shooting was the best FG% by both teams you just knew this was an ugly game.  The Hawks scored 16 points in the 4th while the Mavs went ice cold and scored just 15.  Despite the poor shooting, both teams superstars shot great.  Joe Johnson of the Hawks shot 13-24 for 31 points to make up for an embarassing loss to the Knicks the night before while Dirk Nowitzki shot 11-24 for 32 points.  There was a total of 96 rebounds in this game due to the poor shooting, ew.

Clown of the game: Jamal Crawford. Despite playing 30 minutes Crawford had just 6 points on the night but for the season he is the 2nd leading scorer on the team.  He shot 3-12 tonight and normally the Hawks don’t win a game when they score just 80 points.

Blazers 90, Rockets 89

It was only five minutes into the game and Greg Oden is now likely out for the year because of his fractured left patella.  Despite all that the Blazers were down by 1 going into the 4th quarter and came out victorious at home.  Brandon Roy scored 28 points in 42 minutes for the Blazers and Andre Miller came up huge off the bench scoring 24 on 9-14 shooting.  Carl Landry led all Rockets in scoring with 23 points and went 9-11 from the charity stripe, all this off the bench.  Landry is definitely better than Hayes but I guess the Rockets just want Landry to provide some firepower and scoring off the bench.

Clown of the game: Martell Webster.  He went 1-6 in the starting role for the Blazers and played just 16 minutes.  Unfortunately, due to his bad playing Juwan Howard had to play 11 minutes.

Magic 126, Warriors 118

Photo courtesy of APThe Magic win on the road, yet again.  They are now 16-4 on the season and they are looking AWESOME.  This team has so much fire power and were led by VC’s 27 points and Pietrus and Lewis each scored 20+ as well.  The Magic took 41 free throws and made 36, they took 26 3′s and made 12, and overall they shot 52% for the game.  This team is so good and is looking like the early front runner in the Eastern Conference.

The Warriors on the other hand play no defense, start all the wrong players and let Monta Ellis handle the ball WAAAY too much.  Why does Anthony Randolph come off the bench?  Why is Mikki Moore even playing let alone starting?  I don’t get the coaching here, even with Don Nelson not coaching.  Ellis had 33 in a full 48 minutes and Anthony Randolph had 28-13 off the bench!

Clown of the game: Monta Ellis.  After a 9 turnover performance in his last game Ellis had 7 tonight.  Yes he is a great shooter but he turns the ball over way too much and it seems ALL of his turnovers are significant in each game.  He needs to learn to take care of the ball and is averaging over 4 turnovers per game this year.

Clippers 88, Pacers 72

This game was so gross to watch.  The Clippers shot 34 percent on the night and won!  There was so many missed shots that the teams combined for 92 rebounds.  Not only that, neither team took care of the ball, at all.  They combined for 41 turnovers!  The Clippers and Pacers also combined to go 9-37 from downtown.

Clown of the game: Clippers bench.  The bench combined for just 19 points on 6-25 shooting.  This is why Blake Griffin will be a HUGE boost to this lineup.
