Cavs Take Care of Nets; Knicks Win Streak Stopped at 4; Heat Cool Down Raptors

Cavs 99, Nets 89
In Cleveland, the Cavaliers (18-7) handled business against the New Jersey Nets (2-23). LeBron led all scorers with 23 points. He also had 7 assists and 8 rebounds. The Shaqtus and Big Z combined for 32 points, 10 rebounds, and 6 blocks in the winning effort.
The Nets were led by Devin Harris, who was ejected for a flagrant two foul on Jamario Moon, and Brook Lopez. Each dropped 22 points. Rafer Alston had 20 points off the bench for the Nets, who played without Keyon Dooling and Chris Douglas-Roberts, who are both banged up.
Bobcats 94, Knicks 87
The New York Knicks (8-16) saw their winning streak snapped at 4 games with a 94-87 loss to the Bobcats (10-13). Stephen Jackson had 24 points, including a monster dunk on opponent and friend, Al Harrington. Gerald Wallace had 23 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists, and 4 steals to help lead the Bobcats to their fourth win in a row against the Knicks.
All five starters scored in double digits for the Knicks, who were led by Chris Duhon’s 18. Jared Jefferies had a game high 6 steals.

Heat 115, Raptors 95
Chris Bosh scored 28 points but was only limited to two rebounds in the Raptors 115-95 loss to the Heat. The Heat won the battle on the boards, out rebounding the Raptors 45-32. Jarrett Jack, who has been playing superb in place of Jose Calderon, was held to under ten points for the first time in the last five games.
Michael Beasely dominated this game, putting up 28 points and grabbing 11 rebounds. Dwyane Wade pitched in with 19 points and 7 assists. He also had two free throw attempts, putting him two behind Alonzo Mourning for the most free throw attempts in franchise history.
