Nola Jerseys Coming in February

18 November 2009 1,245 views 5 Comments

The New Orleans Hornets have revealed their new Mardi Gras jerseys that they will be wearing for 4 games in February.  If I told you the jerseys say Nola on the front, are two-toned and one of those colors is purple you may never want to see these jerseys EVER be worn… but these are HOTT!Photo Courtesy of uniwatchblog.com

These new jerseys actually have Mardi Gras beads on the side of the jersey that zig-zag along the front and back.  That’s pretty sick.  If you remember, last year’s All-Star jerseys were two-toned with gold/white and silver/white and those things were hideous.  But these purple and teal blue jerseys look really good to go along with the gold feature on the side.

The fact that they say Nola on them is pretty interesting as well.  No other team (other than the Blazers Rip City jerseys) have abbreviations or unique names on the front, so you know these jerseys will be a hot sell for all you sneaker heads and jersey collectors.

Would you ever rock this jersey?

These jerseys are unfair to the eye. It looks like mardi gras threw up all over itself.

Last time I checked, Golden State was a nickname, and they are also wearing San Francisco jerseys this year which would be a unique name for their name which is actually a nickname

None of those links work. Golden State is always a reference to the Warriors, Rip City not so much for the Blazers. A few teams have new alternates this year and the Hawks are definitely really nice onces. I like those a lot and you’re right they are abbreviated. I’ll have to change that, haha. But what I really meant was ATL and PHX are abbreviations for those cities I never really think to call New Orleans NOLA.
