Nets Lose 12th in a Row; Knicks Actually Make a Comeback; Wiz Win in Jamison’s Return
Bucks 99, Nets 85
Not much to say in this game, up 48-41 at halftime, the New Jersey Nets (0-12) had another abysmal second half to drop their 12th game in a row this season to the Milwaukee Bucks (6-3). The Nets mangaged 37 points in the second half, including only 12 in the 3rd quarter. Chris Douglas-Roberts scored 31 points for the Nets and Rookie Terrence Williams added 20 points and 10 rebounds. Brook Lopez added 11, which mostly came off of dunks in the last few minutes of the game.
The Bucks leading scorers were Andrew Bogut and Carlos Delfino who both had 21 points. Bogut also had 11 rebounds. The other Rookie on the court, Brandon Jennings, dropped 19 points and 8 assists, but he also had 7 turnovers. He continued his hot shooting from behind the arc going 3-4 and is now 21-38 (54% wow!) for the season.
Next up for the Nets is the Knicks who won their 2nd game of the year tonight.
JB’s Hustle Hero of the Game: Terrance Williams. Although playing starters minutes coming off the bench, Williams has struggled shooting from the field. Tonight he his 8-15 shots to score his 20 points. He also grabbed 10 rebounds, had 4 steals, and 3 assists to help the Nets in a losing effort.
Knicks 110, Pacers 103

"Hey, we actually won a game!"
The Pacers (5-4) who seemed sluggish last night in their win against the winless Nets, blew a 13 point lead in the 4th quarter to lose to the Knicks (2-9). All-Star Danny Granger had 30 points at halftime, but was nearly invisible in the second half until he fouled out, finishing with 33 points. Dahntay Jones continue to score in bunches putting up 25 against the Knicks.
The Knicks outscored the Pacers 34-17 in the fourth to comeback and win this game. Al Harrington was huge scoring 13 of his 26 points in the fourth. Larry Hughes also had 22 points off the bench and what may or may not be a good sign, Eddy Curry had 10 points in 12 minutes.
JB’s Hustle Hero of the Game. Larry Hughes. Al Harrington may have taken the game over in the fourth quarter, but Larry Hughes had a monster game. He had 22 poitns, 10 rebounds, 7 assists, 3 steals, and a block in the comeback win. He did all this while posting a +24 while he was in the game. If the Knicks want to win more games they will need this night in and night out from Hughes.
Wizards 108, Cavs 91
Antawn Jamison’s double-double in his season debut helped propel the Wizards (3-8) to a win against the Cavs (8-4). Jamison returned from a shoulder injury while Shaquille O’Neal and Anderson Varejao sat out with injuries. Jamison scored 31 points and pulled down 10 rebounds in the win. Caron Butler, Mike Miller, and Gilbert Areans all finished in double figures as well.
LeBron James had 34 points and 9 assists in the loss but no other Cav scored scored higher than 10 points. James also injured his wrist on a dunk, although it is thought to not be a serious injury.
JB’s Hustle Hero of the Game. Earl Boykins. I’ll be honest, it should probably go to Brendan Haywood who grabbed 10 boards and recorded 3 blocks, but it is awesome to see Earl Boykins back in the league. In his first game, he had 20 points in a losing effort to the Pistons. Tonight, he had 9 points and 3 assists in 20 minutes. I hope he continues to get playing time becasue the 5-foot-5 guard is exciting to watch.

I just want to point out that Sean Williams was yet again the only Net to have a positive +/- margin on the night, at +16.
