It Must be the Shoes: Part 3 of 3 (Everything Else)

For the third and final installment, we will take a look at some of the other shoe choices that players around the league wear. Some sneaker brands we will take a look at include New Balance, Converse, Reebok, and Under Armour.

CONVERSE

Converse, featuring Chuck Taylor, and recently Dwyane Wade, was a mainstay among brands worn by players in the league. With Wade gone to theBrand, Converse’s figure head is now Elton Brand (go figure). Elton will be wearing the $65 EB2 sold EXCLUSIVELY at J.C. Penny.

NEW BALANCE

New Balance? Isn’t that a running brand? Not for Matt Bonner. That’s right, the 3 point marksmen for the Spurs wears these. In my opinion, they look like shoes that the Referees might wear. Ref?

REEBOK

Reebok used to be a prominent brand in the league behind stars like Shawn Kemp, and Allen Iverson. Well, as we all know, Iverson is still grinding and playing for the Grizzlies this year. Coincidentally he will start his season tonight, sporting these new Iverson’s. Look pretty nice.

UNDER ARMOUR

Lastly, we have one of the latest brands, notable for their clothing moreso than sneakers, standing behind rookie Brandon Jennings. Under Armour has provided Jennings with his own shoe that hasn’t hit stores yet. UA focuses more on how the shoe feels moreso than what it looks like (I hope).

So, heading into the season, it seems that our players are ready to roll with all the basketball shoes that one could imagine. As the season continues, we will search for other dope, and interesting shoes that the NBA players will wear.

Are those the shoes Jennings is gonna wear? They look so wack. And out of all the shoes you previewed the Elton Brand’s are my favorite, haha. It’s funny because he is my favorite player. Good work G.

Jennings has been wearing them so far. They don’t go on sale until 2010 though.
