Not that we couldn’t see this coming, but according to the Cuyahogo County sheriff’s office, new Cleveland Cavaliers C Shaquille O’Neal has applied to be a special deputy for the state of Ohio.

Shaq has served prior roles within law enforcement in Arizona, Virginia and Florida, so why wouldn’t he aim for his new state of business. Well, he has. If he is hired he will have the right to carry a gun and make arrests; however, his deputy position would not be paid as he would not be a formal employee.

He hasn’t been approved for training yet, but if he is, Shaq will have to complete 36 hours of police training and pass the Ohio police exam. Suppose that’s during the season and they play the Lakers a day after training. I bet Shaq will be too winded to play more than 10 minutes. In addition, I don’t know why states would want Shaq on their force. He plays a sport for a living and could not do any undercover work because he’s freakin Shaq! He’s more likely to hurt someone if they are resisting arrest and cause some sort of assault charge on himself.

Although, I wonder if Shaq would make it his duty to scope out his teammates for an illegal activity. Like what if he found drugs in LeBron’s duffle bag! It would be his civic duty to report him to the ‘higher’ authorities! Could he really do that to his only chance at a 5th title?

The answer is he couldn’t and wouldn’t which makes this whole thing hrbl, just hrbl.

BANG BANG!

Be honest, do you trust him with that?

WOW, got Shaq. I feel the only reason the police in each state take Shaq is for popularity. That has to be the only reason and you know Shaq wouldn’t tell on LeBron! Or anyone for that matter.
